POSITION
Summary:
Provide the necessary purchasing and organizational skills to the purchasing department to support the Company in achieving optimal levels of profitability safety, quality, productivity, and delivery to assure internal and external customer satisfaction.
JOB TASKS &
Responsibilities:
The following job/task functions have been identified as the core functions of this position.
However, the supervisor or manager may assign additional duties associated with this position.
Responsibility for timely and accurate processing and data entry for supplier add/change, QAD, MLS, and IRFQ requests.
In addition, verify all banking and remit change requests.
Supports internal purchasing team and external plants with all purchasing requests.
Publication of supplier Minority Spending Report for customers and maintain updated certs.
Responsible for quality, insurance, and CQI certification submissions.
Tracks and monitors metals market information for use in scrap invoice/revenue generation.
Manages and track new supplier numbers.
Record gatekeeper (Teams & Intranet Homepage) for Purchasing department.
Manages travel credit card for Purchasing department.
Report number of MRO purchase orders issued monthly.
Under the direction of the Purchasing Manager, is responsible for meeting purchasing objectives and to effectively track and monitor required improvement activities related to business plan, goals, issues, etc.
Maintains highly confidential information sensitive to the Company's business and purchasing strategy.
Responsible for overseeing maintenance of purchase order systems for North American plants.
Prepares reports, presentations and other data as needed.
Coordinates business needs with cross functional departments.
Create new inventory part numbers for both production & MRO items.
Revising due dates on purchase orders to support plant requests for MRP accuracy.
Price Adjustment log administration and report out to Management.
Supplier portal system administrator, training of the Purchasing Department.
Monitor general purchasing inbox with processing of requested requests for PO's from all plants.
1099 Reports for Accounting annually Report out expiring pricing for MRO items to Commodity Managers for updates to contracts.
Manage and track supplier status in QAD, clean up QAD for reporting accuracy.
Consolidate/Merge vendor numbers in QAD as required.
Manage other purchasing coordinators as required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, Business, Accounting or related field preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in supply chain or accounting preferred.
Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing requirements and priorities on a regular basis.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Very detail oriented.
Good verbal skills needed to facilitate communication with internal and external customers.
Handles confidential information discreetly.
Overall knowledge of supply chain procedures.
Prior experience using QAD, MLS or similar purchasing software programs preferred.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Duties include but are not limited to remaining in a stationary position, move about inside an office environment, manoeuvre around/under office furniture, operate a computer, printer, and phone.
Able to position self to install IT equipment, able to communicate information so others can understand and exchange accurate information in these situations, able to observe details at close range, and have an ability to travel to manufacturing locations.
When visiting plant site locations, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration or hazardous materials.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
