Account Manager

L&W Group is looking for an experienced Account Manager to handle our Tier II accounts. This role would manage day-to-day account activity for both the customer base, including the customer receiving plants (where Purchasing level responsibility may exist) to quickly service customer on any commercial quality or delivery issue. Primary liaison between customer and L&W for problem resolution. Develop lasting relationships to insure effective program information, target cost and competitive quote feedback for the purpose of awarded business. Focus on future sales and replacement business while maintaining existing accounts.
Below lists some key responsibilities:
Track down opportunities that translate into new business
Perform on-line auctions (if applicable)
Enters new quotes in L&W system (IQS); follows up to ensure on time response. Provides any additional information as needed to complete an accurate quote
Issues new job announcements and engineering change notices and monitors changes to budgets. Submits compensation requests to customer and ties them to budget for closure.
Periodically communicates with customer engineers to handle issues with existing business and to identify any future business opportunities
Leads review meetings with customer Purchasing, Supplier Quality and Program Management to resolve open issues
Follows-up on customer invoicing issues (as-needed)
Acts as liaison, for sales related activity, between external customer and internal customer (L&W plants)
Assists the Sales Director in communication with customer Buyers
Promote the company's strengths and capabilities
Represents L&W as point of contact for customer Purchasing Department
Monitor customer score cards for Q&D to insure visibility within company
Complete RFQ response to customer, using customer specific forms
Maintains a customer Sales Forecast
The ideal candidate would have previous experience in account management specifically dealing with Tier II Automotive suppliers.


 

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
