Logistics Recruiter

We have an exciting opportunity for a Recruiter to join our team at Haggerty Logistics.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Assists in the administration of various human resource functions with a large concentration in full cycle recruiting.
JOB/TASK FUNCTIONS:
The following job/task functions have been identified as the core functions of this position. However, the supervisor or manager may assign additional duties associated with this position.
Staffing:

  • Coordinate with manager regarding staffing levels and open positions
  • Source drivers through company's applicant tracking system and applicable social media and other job board sites.
  • Pre-screen drivers, schedule and conduct onsite interviews
  • Create and administer all initial onboarding procedures i.e. offers, clinic paperwork and backgrounds
  • Set up new hire orientation
  • Set up new driver records in database

Temporary Help:

  • Order temps and coordinate with department manager/coordinator/leader.
  • Monitors and maintains temp list and weekly dollars spent
  • Verifies hours worked and submits to temp service weekly
  • Verifies and approves temporary help billings and submits to accounts payable.
  • Resolves all temporary help issues with the assistance of the agency and management staff.

Employee Relations:

  • Interacts with all new drivers to answer questions and identify any acclimation concerns
  • Conducts exit interviews on voluntary resignations to determine reasons behind separations
  • Assists department in preparing for associate functions (holiday functions, luncheons, picnic, family day, perfect attendance incentives, holiday gifts, etc.)

Continuous Improvement:

  • Research different recruiting methods and utilize reporting methods to determine the success of current recruiting strategies
  • Develop relationships with surrounding cities and organizations to maintain, improve Haggerty's visibility as a leading job provider for drivers.

Previous CDL-A recruiting experience is required


 

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
